What is the new charging technology introduced by OPPO

OPPO smartphones are known to empower massive battery power and excellent charging speed. The classic OPPO SuperVOOC flash charge integrated in its android phones enables fastest charging in a go. But the new upcoming OPPO charging feature is all set for creating new standards.

OPPO has introduced the newest charging power of 150W that will be inclusively integrated in OnePlus before. In actual, there are 2 types of charging standards that are headed for the future. These two include 150W and 240W SuperVOOC Flash charging technologies. But, for now, we will get to see the nearly coming 150W charging which is almost double to 80W flash charge.

Everything About 150W Charging

The 150W flash-charge technology is aimed to deliver unbeatable performance and charging speed. It is claimed that using this flash charging, android smartphones can be charged to 50% in just 5 minutes. Moreover, it will be able to charge the mobile phone to 100% in just around 15 minutes. In comparison to every previous android phone, this SuperVOOC flash charging technology is nowhere near. It is built to exceed every fastest charging expectation to the maximum.

OPPO is a name that was the first and key manufacturer for SuperVOOC flash charging. Hence, its newest charging tech involving 150W Super-fast charging is making waves for its speed bomb. Originally, the charging capacity is meant to charge 4500 mAh battery phone to 100% in less than 15 minutes.

The 150W flash charging comes with a battery health engine that is used with direct charging technology. There are two charge pumps for directly charging mobile phones and are able to support charging power up to 20V/7.5A c.

The charging adaptor used for 150W has gallium nitride installed in it for reducing its size. You will get almost similar size as of the 65W flash charger. To be exact, the adaptor measures around 58 x 57 x 30mm and weighs 172g.  This adaptor comes with a power density of 1.51W/cm3, setting new standards in the charging tech industry.

The battery health engine featured in the 150w SuperVOOC flash charger is used for enhancing the overall charging experience. The battery management chip customised by OPPO itself powers this engine with two types of technologies. In order to amplify battery performance, speed, safety, and health, these two technologies are used for upgrading the hardware. These technologies are known as battery healing and smart battery health algorithm.

Battery Healing Technology: The inside system of battery needs to be optimised, which takes place by through battery healing. This technology is used to improve electrolyte formula. The electrodes of the battery during charge and discharge cycle are repaired constantly for stable interface. This means you will get an enhanced battery lifespan and overall performance. This advancement happens because the positive and negative electrodes of battery are kept neutral with minimum wear or tear.

Smart Battery Algorithm: This algorithm technology used by the latest charging feature involves negative electrodes in the battery system. It is used to track the real-time potential of electric power inside the battery. This way the charging currency is adjusted within a convenient range to reduce the dead lithium occurrence.

Which Phones has the new charging technology?

Though OPPO has announced the inclusion of the latest fast charging 150, it will be included in its sub-brand OnePlus. The second breakthrough of 240W will be directly included in OPPO smartphone. Both fast-charging technologies rely on USB Type C port and comprise 5G intelligence connectivity.

Bottom Line

Charging is one of the most crucial factors in mobile phones. Some of the tech enthusiast highly depend on how faster a mobile gets charged and its whole battery performance. With this new charging technology, the mobile tech industry is aimed to evolve through newer enhancements.
